3 ways Triple H can take off the Undisputed WWE title from Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre won the Undisputed WWE Championship on last week’s episode of SmackDown in a shocking turn of events. The Scottish Warrior walked out with the title after Jacob Fatu caused an outside interference in the match.

This was McIntyre’s third attempt at Cody’s title, and it was expected that he would lose the match, and this would be the end of his tale with The American Nightmare. However, Triple H booked McIntyre for a win in a manner nobody expected. What was more interesting was the fact that the title change happened before WrestleMania 42, when everybody thought that it might take place.

And now that it has happened, Triple H could be planning for something big at Mania this year. As the Scottish Warrior won the title four months before Mania, most probably, he will have to drop at Mania or even before it, who knows.

Therefore, in this listicle, we will list three ways Triple H can take off the Undisputed WWE title from Drew McIntyre.

#3 Drew McIntyre gets injured after an attack from Jacob Fatu and is forced to relinquish the title before WrestleMania 42

One possible way Triple H could remove Drew McIntyre as the Undisputed WWE Champion is to book him to relinquish his title after an attack from Jacob Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf hasn’t revealed yet who assaulted him backstage two months back on SmackDown. The needle of suspicion falls on McIntyre, and Jacob Fatu can reveal this on this week’s episode of SmackDown.

As a result, he can take out McIntyre with a brutal injury (kayfabe), which can force him to relinquish his WWE title before Mania. McIntyre can then be written off TV for the next two months and return just before Mania, to set up his big clash against Jacob Fatu at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Meanwhile, the title could be left vacant, and the winner of Royal Rumble 2026, who most anticipate would be Roman Reigns, can clash against Cody Rhodes for it at WrestleMania 42.

#2 Jacob Fatu helps Roman Reigns win back the WWE title at WrestleMania 42 from Drew McIntyre

Triple H can also book Drew McIntyre to stay as the Undisputed WWE Champion till WrestleMania 42, and then book him to drop it to Roman Reigns, if he wins the Royal Rumble 2026.

And in this title pursuit, Jacob Fatu can surprisingly come out and help his cousin beat McIntyre. This booking would hit two birds with one stone. It books a big feud between Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre, and the two can clash in a few PLEs before squaring off in a mega clash at SummerSlam 2026.

Secondly, it brings Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns on a common platform, and Reigns can once again revive the OG Bloodline. The OTC1 could get a debuting Zilla Fatu and Jacob’s brother, Journey Fatu join the stable in WWE. The Bloodline storyline was a massive success, and Triple H could bring it back to life at Mania this year, with this booking.

#1 Drew McIntyre loses the WWE title at WrestleMania 42 in a triple threat battle between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns

If Triple H wants to make the title exchange hands at Mania, then most probably Hunter can book a mega triple threat clash between Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Drew McIntyre as the main event. Roman Reigns would get the ticket to the main event of Mania after most probably winning the Royal Rumble match in 2026.

And Cody Rhodes is already in the pipeline to get a rematch against Drew McIntyre for losing the title on SmackDown. He wasn’t pinned and, in fact, didn’t lose clean to The Scottish Warrior. Therefore, a triple threat match can take place between the three legends, and Roman Reigns can walk out as the Undisputed Champion for the fifth time in his WWE career.
