The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made the statement on the December 3 episode of his podcast New Heights, where he interviewed actor George Clooney.
During the conversation, Travis Kelce referenced Clooney’s past comments about never arguing with his wife, Amal Clooney, in their decade-long marriage.
However, Clooney turned the question back on him, prompting Kelce to address his own relationship. Travis Kelce laughed as he acknowledged the comparison and explained that, despite being together for over two years, he had never found himself in a fight with Taylor Swift.
“Well, it’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right. I haven’t gotten into an argument. Never once,” he said.
On December 3, 2025, the entertainment news account Pop Crave echoed this claim on X, posting Kelce’s statement with the caption:

Netizens soon took over the comment section of this post to share their reaction. One X user took a humorous approach, suggesting that Kelce might simply be avoiding conflict to keep himself out of Taylor Swift’s famously autobiographical lyrics.
“Smart man. Bro don’t want to end up in a lyrics,” the user wrote.
Other users praised Kelce’s comment, interpreting it as a sign that the couple communicated well enough to express disagreement without escalating into arguments.
However, not everyone agreed. Some users criticized Kelce’s statement, arguing that never arguing might itself be unhealthy. They suggested that a little argument was important for growth in any long-term partnership and maintaining emotional balance.

During the December 3 episode of his podcast, Travis Kelce offered a rare and affectionate look back at his 2024 trip to Lake Como with fiancée Taylor Swift. Kelce and Swift’s romantic vacation took place in May 2024, during a short break in the singer’s Eras Tour.
While interviewing guest George Clooney, the conversation drifted toward Italy, prompting Kelce to reminisce about the couple’s quiet European getaway.
“Me and Tay danced around Lake Como for a little while. I loved it out there,” Kelce told the Ocean’s Eleven actor.
He then reacted playfully when Clooney mentioned that he owned property in the area.
“They love to point it out whenever you’re on the lake,” Kelce quipped.
Kelce also described his daily routine in Lake Como, explaining how each morning felt refreshing and unexpectedly meaningful. He emphasized the mix of “gloomy days” and “beautiful days,” and how the scenery made both him and Taylor Swift feel as if they were experiencing something extraordinary.
“Every morning, I was throwing my shoes on, running up and down the water… We had gloomy days, we had beautiful days. Every single day was a new epic realization of what’s really around the world. I have never imagined that place in my dreams,” Kelce explained.
From there, Clooney asked Kelce whether he had spent much time in Italy before. Kelce clarified that this was “[his] first time.”
He went on to explain that Italy surprised him with its charm, particularly its small restaurants with “10 seats in the corner of a cove” yet serving what he described as “the best pasta you can imagine.” Calling Lake Como “such a cool place,” Travis Kelce added that he “recommend[ed] that place for everybody,”
