A top star and champion in AEW is currently embroiled in a heated feud with Mercedes Mone. As such, the star in question, Kris Statlander, could decide to sabotage The CEO’s upcoming title defense on Dynamite, costing her one of her record-breaking thirteen belts.
Mercedes Mone took part in a history-making bout this past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, where she competed in the first-ever edition of the Women’s Blood and Guts. The erstwhile Sasha Banks ended up on the victorious side, as she and her teammates, The Triangle of Madness, Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir, secured the win over the alliance of Kris Statlander, Jamie Hayter, the Babes of Wrath and the Timeless Love Bombs.
Merely three days later, Mercedes once again added gold to her ever-growing collection of belts, winning her thirteenth championship by defeating Nor Phoenix Diana for her APAC Women’s Title at a House of Glory event in Brentwood, New York. Now, it has been announced that “Ultimo” Mone will be facing off against Red Velvet in a title unification match for the ROH Women’s World TV Championship on this coming Wednesday’s Dynamite-Collision three-hour special. Although viewers no doubt expect The Boss to emerge victorious, she could end up losing the bout due to the interference of Kris Statlander.

The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien had previously told Mercedes that her one major flaw was that she lacked focus, as evidenced by her devoting a lot of her attention towards her numerous titles instead of concentrating on the AEW Women’s World Championship. Stat also has a bone to pick with Mone as the two mutually neutralized each other outside the steel cage during Blood and Guts, which allowed the villainous alliance to use their numbers advantage against her team.
Statlander could therefore decide to cost Mercedes her title match against Red Velvet this coming Wednesday, so as to demand her entire focus for their upcoming World Championship bout set for Full Gear 2025 – and perhaps also to rattle the former Horsewoman’s confidence heading into the pay-per-view.
Other matches announced for next week’s AEW Dynamite and Collision
All Elite Wrestling will air a special three-hour block of action this coming Wednesday with Dynamite and Collision in Boston’s Agganis Arena. Besides Mercedes Mone’s title bout against Red Velvet, a singles match has been announced for the show pitting Hangman Adam Page against Katsuyori Shibata. Furthermore, TayJay will take on Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir in a quarterfinal round matchup in the ongoing AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament.

The November 19 special episode is also set to witness the programming return of Kenny Omega, as he prepares to team with The Jurassic Express to take on Josh Alexander and The Young Bucks in a “Million Dollar” trios bout at Full Gear 2025.
