Days of Our Lives spoilers for December 29 – Jan 2, 2025 reveal Theo Carver’s (Tyler Joseph Andrews) life is on the line and Gwen Rizczech‘s (Emily O’Brien) got a new scheme cooking.
As we always do on early edition day, we start with what’s coming the rest of this week. Then we dive into what is coming next week.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Mayhem in the Mausoleum
So on Wednesday, December 24th, Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli are home to Salem for the holidays to see their family. They’re going to get quality time with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and the Hortons, with Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and baby Trey. I do wonder if we’re going to get to see little Jules and Carver hanging their ornaments. And I’m sure Lani is going to be up at the hospital to check on her brother Theo, who is in grave danger later this week.
Meanwhile, it’s mayhem in the mausoleum. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) are fighting to get out of there and get Theo and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) some much-needed medical attention. Crazy Peter Blake (Jason Brooks) brought Sarin gas into the crypt to kill them all. But first, he took the antidote because of course, typical villain move. Thankfully, when Kristen clocked him, the vial stayed shut. Both Theo and Kristen are in dire need of medical attention and they need to get out.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Rafe and Jada on the Hunt
Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) make a mad dash to find the DiMeras. They got some clues that they could be holed up in the crypt. Julie makes the tough decision to delay holiday festivities. She may want to wait until Chad turns back up and can join his children who seem to be in Boston with Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain).
We also have Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) hitting town soon. Thursday, December 25th, on Christmas Day, we’ve got Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) delivering news to Chanel. Supplemental test results make it look like Sarah is going to tell Chanel that it is not cancer causing her high hCG levels, but it’s a bun in the oven.
But is this pregnancy going to be considered too high-risk to carry to term? The hostages are finally free by Christmas Day’s episode. Looks like Rafe and Jada may get them loose and take care of the armed guards that are lurking outside. But at least the kidnapper is caught and taken down. And as we leaked, it was indeed Peter. EJ is so thrilled to be out of that crypt and he and Johnny have a nice moment.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Paula and Abe Worry
Kidnapping aside, Paulina and Abe are worried about Theo. He got a nasty head injury after he tried to take down Peter and got slammed to the floor for his trouble. Abe prays at Theo’s bedside and he will hopefully come out of it. Also, Rafe’s going to get those bones over to the FBI lab to get them identified. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) lays into Kristen, who’s also at the hospital, for her nasty infection. Brady (Eric Martsolf) is raging about Kristen keeping Rachel Black’s (Alice Halsey) shooting EJ a secret from him.
Friday, December 26th, we’ve got Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) bringing a peace offering in the form of a big old Christmas gift to Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers). And Xander also delivers an apology to go with it. But any goodwill he earns from Maggie is going to be out the door when Xander fires Brady in a jealous rage over Sarah Horton very soon. So Brady catches up with Sarah, gives her the latest update. Kristen’s out. She’s in the hospital. They are spending time hanging out in the square and Brady goes in for a kiss and scores a lip lock with Sarah.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Jeremy Helps Julie
Jeremy Horton (Trevor Donovan) helps Julie welcome the family for the ornament hanging party. Julie gets comfort from Eli and Lani as she hangs Doug’s (Bill Hayes) ornament. Lani is comforting her ex JJ who is missing Abby Deveraux (AnnaLynne McCord) a lot this Christmas.
Jennifer and Jack are back in Salem with Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary) and Charlotte DiMera (Olivia & Oakley Rondou). So Chad and the kids are emotionally reunited for Christmas. They hang Abigail’s ornament on the tree. And hopefully Chad’s kidnapping ordeal will get Jennifer to back the heck off on this custody case on Days of our Lives.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: December 29th – January 2nd
The week of December 29th through January 2nd, we should have Rafe reporting back that the FBI got an ID on the bones from the crypt and Kristen has a complete and total breakdown. We know it’s not Peter. Abe worries about Theo, but hopefully they’re going to get a Christmas miracle and this fight for his life turns into a full recovery before the new year kicks in. Hopefully Jada drops in to check on Theo as well.
Kristen tries to make amends with Peter for tricking him and then clocking him over the head. But come on, let’s face it. Kristen needed to do it and Peter had it coming. But he wants nothing to do with her. And Peter is raging at Kristen. He was just torn apart when Kristen attacked him. She’s also eager to get over to Bayview to see Rachel, but I think she’s going to have to tie off some legal loose ends first. So, we’ll probably see Belle Black (Martha Madison) discussing that with her.
Gwen’s Shocking New Year’s Eve Wedding Scheme
Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) are so excited to get married on New Year’s Eve. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is going to officiate. Leo is hoping Chad will be his best man. And Leo also wants his ex-bestie Gwen there as well. She’s anticipating the invitation and has Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) working on a glam original Gabi-chic gown.
But Gwen is also scheming to bring a shocking plus one with her. We know that she is going to bring her husband Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera (Peter Porte) back to town very soon. But will he be her date to Leo’s wedding? We know she and EJ have Dimitri on ice somewhere that they can keep him contained.
We also know that when Dimitri returns, it’s going to shake things up. He’s going to kiss Leo. But is this lip lock between Dimitri and Leo before or in the aftermath of his wedding to Javi? Also, I’m betting we’re going to find out that breakup letter that crushed Leo and broke his heart was written by Gwen and not his Alamanian Hottie.
Chanel’s Pregnancy Bombshell Rocks Johnny’s World
We also have Johnny reeling after Chanel reveals she’s pregnant, but Johnny may still be worried about spawning a biological child and passing on his diabolical DiMera DNA.
