As we always do on the early editions, we talk about what’s coming the rest of this week and then dive into what is coming next week.
Days of Our Lives: Gabi Invites Philip Over for Thanksgiving
So on Wednesday, November 26th, we’ve got Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) taking Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) out on a pre-holiday date. And Philip and Gabi run into JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). You know, Gabi’s recent acts and things are awkward. The really sweet thing, though, is Gabi is going to invite Philip over to have the holidays with the Hernandez family. I’m guessing things are going to be awkward at the Kiriakis mansion.
Plus, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) gets Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and Patch (Stephen Nichols) involved in playing trivia. I don’t know if he’s going to start doing trivia at the pub. I love a good round of pub trivia. And I wonder who is going to win it. Plus, Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain) opens up and confesses something to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).
I think that Jen may spill that she is planning to take Chad DiMera‘s (Billy Flynn) kids away from him and go to Boston with them and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). We already saw that Jennifer slapped Chad with those custody papers that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) drew up. And then Chad abruptly left after getting some advice from Jeremy Horton (Trevor Donovan). That might have been good, but it ultimately put Chad in a very inconvenient position because something really bad happens to him by the end of the week.
Brady & Sarah Get Closer on DOOL
So Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) have a close moment at the hospital, and then Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) interrupts. I think he’s coming in to check on her. I expect that Brady is probably going to tell Sarah the awful truth that Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) is the one who shot EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and that Rachel has been recommended to be sent to Bayview for some long-term care and therapy.
So, all they’re waiting on is a bed to become available at Bayview. And then that’s where Rachel is heading. Belle Black (Martha Madison) already knows, so I don’t think Brady’s going to hide it from Sarah. And her standing by Brady through this Rachel crisis is going to pull them a lot closer. There are kisses coming soon. There’s more. And Xander’s going to be really ticked off about it.
Thanksgiving in Salem: Family Feasts and Hospital Heartbreak
Thursday, November 27th, we are celebrating Thanksgiving in Salem. We’ve got Roman and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) with Patch and Kayla, and also Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) having their Thanksgiving feast over at Brady Pub.
Belle really takes Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) by surprise. And it looks like Belle’s going to bring Thanksgiving dinner to Marlena at the hospital because she can’t be at home to have it with Belle and Brady and the others. Marlena just had pacemaker surgery. I do wonder if Belle is going to withhold the information from Marlena that she just found out Rachel shot EJ on Days of our Lives. The thing is, Belle doesn’t know that Marlena already knows and has been sitting on this secret for quite some time.
Rachel Admitted into the Hospital
Meanwhile, Brady and Tate Black (Leo Howard) are also up at the hospital. They are at Rachel’s bedside, keeping a close eye on the little girl. She has been admitted to University Hospital. She is in holding there until they can get her into the mental health facility, which is going to be very important because Belle already told Brady that at some point there’s going to have to be some kind of legal filing to exonerate Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
So, Rachel going into the mental health facility will probably help her get away with this, you know, probation, counseling, whatever. Brady’s feeling like a real failure as a dad. I think Tate’s going to be upset that he missed the signs as Rachel’s big brother that this horrible thing has happened. Meanwhile, Alex is worried that Stephanie is in danger. I’m assuming they think Jeremy is after them. And as I’ve been saying for a while, it is not Jeremy. He’s just a convenient scapegoat, but it is another villain from Stephanie’s past.
Post-Thanksgiving Shocker: A DiMera Kidnapping and a Holiday Proposal
On Friday, November 28th, we have a family reunion that’s growing in the DiMera crypt. So Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) and Kristen are already there, unless of course that’s Andre DiMera (also Thaao Penghlis). And we have Chad joining them. He got bagged and tagged and dumped with his siblings. So we know that after bickering with Jennifer and getting that advice from Jeremy, Chad packed a bag and left the Horton house headed to the Salem Inn. But somebody has nabbed him.
Plus, it looks like Kristen has dug up some bones in the crypt, human bones. And not where they should be in a vault. It looks like somebody’s body was hidden there, like some sort of body dump. Before too long, they’re going to be out of there. And Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is going to have identified the victim. The Hortons notice that Chad is MIA from Thanksgiving, and Charlotte DiMera (Olivia & Oakley Rondou) is telling Grandma Jen that she wants her daddy to come home for the holiday. I do wonder if Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary) and Jennifer and maybe even Julie assume that Chad is off with Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord).
Days of Our Lives: Gabi Invites Philip for Dinner
Gabi invites Philip to join her family for dinner as I said. And he is toasting to loyalty and people that stick by you in good times and bad. So we’ve got Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) and Leo and Rafe and Arianna Horton (Marissa Reyes) all there with Philip and Gabi. Leo makes a special dessert for Javi to show his love. And maybe there’s a ring in the pie or the cake because it looks like Leo drops to one knee and proposes to Javi very soon and in front of the whole family. Then wedding planning is going to start because obviously, Javi is going to say yes. So we’re going to have a Turkey Day true love declaration.
Next Week on Days of Our Lives: Custody Battles and Shocking Returns
The following week, December 1st through the 5th, we have a chance that Jennifer and Jack may get the kids by default. They may get Charlotte and Thomas by default to take to Boston because Chad was a no-show for the holidays. And if he is gone and nobody can find Chad, obviously Justin can make a strong case that by default, the kids should go to Jennifer. Now, what we do know is that Jack and Jennifer and Thomas and Charlotte are all reunited at the Horton House with Chad for Christmas. So, even if they get custody for now, you know, they’re not going to be gone forever.
Theo is Next to Disappear on DOOL
Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) is also soon picked up and tossed into the twisted DiMera family crypt reunion. So, I just wonder if EJ might evade being taken captive as well because he is running other things. The person that has kidnapped these DiMeras is a huge twist that involves a comeback that I think people were not expecting. And I’m going to tell you more about that in a couple of days. I’ve got some rumors and some inside info on that.
EJ reveals his plans to show off Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) latest medical miracle. And it looks like it might be a lady in that big test tube if you’ve seen the new promo. So, we’ll find out more. Stephanie’s stalker continues posing threats. And she and Alex are looking in the completely wrong direction. Cat and EJ soon get closer. And what starts as Cat working EJ to get info for the FBI and ISA case might turn into real feelings. But at first, it’s going to be some trickery and deception, but there is a Cat and EJ kiss coming very soon.
Heartbreak at Bayview and a Terrifying New Alliance
Rachel is transferred over to the pediatric wing of Bayview. And Brady is absolutely devastated when he has to leave Rachel behind and she’s screaming and begging her dad to take her home. It’s all very heartbreaking. Sophia shows up to hang out with Rachel in her room in Bayview, but Sophia wants Rachel to keep it a secret that she is faking her catatonic state.
It’s kind of terrifying to think about Sophia and Rachel together because they both have a lot of potential for chaos and wickedness. We’ll see how that goes. And Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) is going off the rails soon and really annoying everybody, but we’ll see what’s pushing her to behave this way. She has a whole new look coming soon and a whole new bad attitude.
