Anthony Kim’s sly digs at political personas are probably the best parts of the day for his X (previously, Twitter) followers. The recently-relegated LIV golfer has once again proved how he doesn’t hold back while sharing his ideas on politics.
On October 26, 2025, a rally was held in support of Zohran Mamdani, who happens to be one of the mayoral candidates for New York City. The political rally in Queens in support of Mamdani witnessed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez giving a fiery speech. Anthony Kim’s tweet came only after Ocasio-Cortez remarked on sanity.
The United States Representative addressed the people of New York City and claimed that the Democrats are “not the crazy ones”. Ocasio-Cortez could be heard screaming out:
“But we must remember, in a time such as this, we are not the crazy ones, New York City. We are not the outlandish ones, New York City. They want us to think we are crazy; we are sane.”
After Benny Johnson shared a clip of her speech on X, Anthony Kim reposted it, quoting the video with a nasty jibe at AOC. Referring to his past days at a rehabilitation center, the pro golfer wrote:
“This wat i said before i entered a mental health facility. SOBER is DOPE 🔥”
Kim’s quote was also reposted by his former LIV Golf acquaintance, Phil Mickelson. Take a look at the X post here:
Anthony Kim has been quite open regarding his dark times that he spent following the shoulder injury and a torn Achilles Tendon. After the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship, Kim disappeared from the golf scene completely.
For twelve years, Kim suffered from his injuries despite multiple surgeries. According to the golfer’s own words, he had to spend days at rehab facilities since he was suffering from addiction issues. Finally, Kim made his pro golf return at LIV Golf Jeddah in 2024. Following his comeback, Kim’s political commentary on X saw no end.
When Anthony Kim’s former LIV mate Phil Mickelson clowned Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Although this was Kim’s first jab at AOC, the same cannot be said for his ex-LIV compatriot, Mickelson. Recently, an X user named Thomas Sowell Quotes shared a snippet of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In the clip, she was lightheartedly addressing her followers and saying:
“Hey everyone I’m just poppin’ on…Tbh I’m not sure about why I’m poppin’ on right now…Thanks for joining”
Lefty did not shy away from throwing a sarcastic shade at the US Representative of New York’s 14th congressional district. Referring to Ocasio-Cortez’s video, he commented:
“Thank you for poppin on 👍 I always enjoy insight and knowledge.”

Since his return, Anthony Kim has been openly firing shots at Democrats. He has called out Minnesota Governor Tim Walz multiple times and even slammed Representative Jasmine Crockett. In recent posts, Kim even clowned the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, by calling him “newscum”.
