Juxtapoz Magazine – Adam Lupton’s “Soliloquy”

His show is down now after being up at Galerie Russi Klenner in Berlin this past fall, but wow, did we love Adam Lupton‘s work in Soliloquy. The details, use of domestic space, the day in the life narrative draws you in, and Vancouver born, Berlin-based painter seems to be at the heights of his power. One of the things that seems to be of his interest is the ways in self-refrential inspiration finds its way into the paintings. You get to see the process of thought in each work, the mind of the artist at play, the way imagination and ideas begin to take shape in and amidst the life of the painter. —Evan Pricco
